PERFORMANCE:Surflight bodyboards introduce totally new materials for a new level of performance. The composite* inner core gives the board an unmatched feel of liveliness and responsiveness that won't break down over time. After a year of hard use, the board will retain its orignal flat rocker and snappy flex. The inner core is much more than a stringer. Even two stringers will not provide the torsional (twisting) stiffness of Surflight's inner core. INNOVATIVE FEATURES:
Composite materials (fiberglass, carbon, epoxy, etc.) are used in all high performance flexible structures like snowboards, tennis rackets, and aircraft. Plastic foams and skins used in standard bodyboards flex, but they return to shape slowly and stretch out of shape with repeated use. FLEX:The stiffness of the board can be custom ordered. We use a flex scale from 1 to 10. Most conventional boards range from 2 to 4, with some super-stiff drop knee boards as high as 6. CUSTOM PRECISION SHAPES:Surflight's high performance custom bodyboards are hand shaped by some of Hawaii's best shapers. Our boards have superior precision in rail and tailshape and our clean concaves and sharp channel bottoms are simply not available in any other bodyboard.
Prices include choice of urethane coating or conventional deck skin on top, urethane coating on rails and bottom in one or two solid colors, and leash attachment. Special shapes and art work available for additional charge. Excise Tax (where applicable) and shipping added.
